Privacy Policy

What we collect on conbody.com, why, who helps us run the site, and how to reach us about your information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information CONBODY (“CONBODY,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit conbody.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep it short and in plain English.

Who we are

CONBODY is a fitness studio at 102 Orchard Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10002. You can reach us at [email protected] or 347-251-0423. Donations made from our Donate page go to the Conbody Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3), and are processed by ActBlue Charities.

This policy covers conbody.com. When you book, buy, shop, or donate, you may be taken to a service run by another company (described below). Those services have their own privacy policies, and those policies apply to what you give them.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form. If you use the form on our Contact page, we receive your name, email address, and message. The form sends an email to our inbox at [email protected].
  • Email newsletter. If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address goes to our email provider, Mailchimp, so we can send you updates.
  • Emails and calls. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to share.

Information you give our service providers

  • Class booking, accounts, and class purchases run on Mindbody. The schedule, sign-up, login, and “Buy Now” tools on our site are Mindbody widgets. Your name, contact details, account login, payment card, and any forms or waivers you complete there are collected and processed by Mindbody. We can see your booking, purchase, and contact records in our Mindbody account so we can run your classes. We do not receive your full card number.
  • Merchandise is sold through our Shopify store at shop.conbody.com. Orders, shipping details, and payments are handled by Shopify.
  • Donations are completed on ActBlue Charities’ website. ActBlue collects your name, contact details, payment information, and any other information it requires. We do not collect card numbers on conbody.com.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, when you visit conbody.com your browser automatically shares some technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page you came from, the pages you view, and when you visited. This information is collected by our web server, by our security and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare), and by Google Analytics (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

How we use information

  • To answer your questions and messages.
  • To run classes, manage bookings and memberships, and provide customer service (through Mindbody).
  • To fulfill merchandise orders (through Shopify).
  • To send our newsletter if you signed up for it.
  • To understand how people use our site (for example, which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked) so we can improve it.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use:

  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure site traffic and which buttons are clicked (for example, “Book a class” or “Buy Now”). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like your IP address, device and browser details, and pages visited. We use this information in aggregate; we don’t use it to identify you. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Security cookies. Cloudflare may set cookies needed to protect the site from bots and attacks. These are necessary for the site to work.
  • Third-party features. The Mindbody booking and purchase widgets, embedded videos, and other tools listed below may set their own cookies when they load or when you use them.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, parts of the site, such as booking and checkout, may not work. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, because there is no common standard for them.

Third-party services on our site

These companies provide parts of our site. When you use their features, they may collect information according to their own privacy policies:

We also link to other sites, such as Instagram, Facebook, X, the Criterion Channel, and our on-demand video site (vod.conbody.com). Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With the service providers listed above, so they can provide their services to you and to us.
  • If required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CONBODY, our clients, or others.
  • As part of a merger, sale, or other transfer of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
  • With your consent.

Marketing emails

If you signed up for our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing [email protected]. Account and booking messages from Mindbody are controlled by your Mindbody account settings.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). Contact-form messages stay in our email inbox until we delete them. Records held by Mindbody, Shopify, ActBlue, Mailchimp, and Google are kept according to their own retention policies.

Security

Our site uses HTTPS encryption, and payments are handled by payment processors rather than on conbody.com. No website or online service is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of information sent to us online.

Children’s privacy

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your information; or
  • stop sending you marketing emails.

California, New York, and other U.S. state residents. Some state laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, give residents specific rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell personal information. To make any request, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request, and you may use an authorized agent. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. For information held by Mindbody, Shopify, or ActBlue, we will help where we can, and you can also contact those companies directly.

Visitors outside the United States

CONBODY is based in New York, and our site and service providers operate in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may be different from those where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above.
