We do things differently here. Our trainers are the heart of our business. They've all done the time-in life, and in their business--and now, they push you to do it too. Our trainers all have a story. In fact, they have really really interesting stories. They will undoubtedly inspire you to be your very best.
The founder of CONBODY, Coss developed his bodyweight training style when he was incarcerated for 4 years on drug charges. Coss lost 70 pounds in 6 months and found his calling. He founded CONBODY fitness studio in New York City, where he hires other former inmates who have turned their lives around through fitness.
Derek spent most of his teenage years in group homes and juvenile detention for drug related charges. After a brief stint in the military and some additional run-ins with the law, he started running and everything changed. He lost 60 pounds and learned perseverance. He’s since run 4 marathons and 3 ultramarathons, and teaches cardio conditioning classes at CONBODY.
Nicknamed “The Beast of CONBODY” she’s the only trainer that can knock out five classes in a row! That’s nearly 500 burpees a day, and she still looks this good! Don’t try to keep up with her (unless you wanna die)! Misato is also NSCA certified with a specialty in flexibility, weight loss and hypertrophy training.
Peter discovered his passion for fitness while serving a 10 year sentence at the age of 20 years old. Peter quickly learned that you had to be physically and mentally strong to survive, so he started reading and working out. Over the years Peter has battled many ups and downs during his incarceration but it has never derailed his fitness journey. He has lost over 30 lbs, competed in powerlifting events, and is now a NASM certified personal trainer. So come #dothetime with Peter but remember, only the strong survive
